Optometrists and free eye exams

In Ontario our Ontario Health Insurance Program (OHIP) provides free eye exams only for certain groups.  Annual coverage is available for children up to age 19, and for seniors aged 65 and older.  There are medical conditions that provide for coverage of those in between 19 and 65, but this is on a case by case basis.

At Quality Optical we recognize that we all need eye care and our optometrist is here for you.  Your eyes are very important to you, and should be treated with the priority they deserve.

Did you know that most of us don’t get an eye exam unless we believe there is something wrong with our vision?  Did you know that from the time you experience medical issues with your eyes it could take less than 24 hours to lose your sight?  If you are experiencing any significant issues, depending on severity, you should see an optometrist or go to your local emergency room right away.

Quality Optical has been around for multiple generations in the Riverdale community, on Danforth avenue in Toronto, helping people with both their eye health and vision correction.  With the largest eyewear selection in the area you can always expect to be treated like family.

Currently our optometrist will provide you with a free eye exam if you are purchasing your complete set of prescription glasses at our store.  We provide direct billing to most insurance companies, and will help you select something that is right for your face shape.

We hope you SEE us soon.
